Calls were today made for tougher sentences for downloading child porn after 29 people convicted of the crime received less than 10 years in jail between them. After a painstaking police operation that took two years to complete, officers have seen the last of the paedophiles go through the courts - as well as issuing cautions to seven more. However, despite having found hundreds of thousands of horrific images and footage of child abuse - including youngsters being raped - the longest sentence that any of them will have to serve is 18 months in jail. Many avoided jail sentences completely.<br>
