Oorlog, rampen, mishandeling, dodelijke ongelukken of sociale onderdrukking (-achterstand- die het kind betreffen wekken nooit zoveel verontwaardiging en in-de-pen-klimmerij dan wanneer kind en seksualiteit met elkaar in verband worden gebracht. [...…] Zaken als jeugdseksualiteit en pedofilie waren bijna honderd jaar geleden reeds een discussiepunt. Het is niet in de laatste plaats te danken aan de ivoren toren van de wetenschap dat veel inzichten en ontdekkingen voor het volk verborgen bleven en slechts te vinden waren in onleesbaar geschreven vakliteratuur. Anderzijds is het juist ook die wetenschap die ontdekte waarom de mensen zich afsluiten voor informatie die angst bij hen opwekt. Onder andere hierdoor zijn inzichten betreffende de seksualiteit nauwelijks tot de mensen doorgedrongen, zeker die inzichten die beter aansluiten bij de mens zoals hij eigenlijk is. We zijn zodoende nog niet veel verder dan de Middeleeuwen wat betreft het inzicht in onszelf of het reageren in situaties die we niet kunnen overzien. [...…]&lt;br&gt;<br /> &lt;br&gt;<br /> Geisler heeft in Duitsland veel werk verzet op dit gebied en kwam tot enkele opmerkelijke conclusies. (Das sexuell misbrachte Kind –- Verlag für medizinische Psychologie 1959). Zelden heeft Geisler kunnen waarnemen dat kinderen die een seksuele relatie met een volwassene hadden (in de leeftijdsgroep van 10-14 jaar) daar enige lichamelijke of psychische schade van ondervonden. De oorzaken voor de toch aanwezige psychotraumata erna bleken te wijten te zijn aan de emotionele reacties van de omgeving, in volgorde van ernst: De politie (door de langdurige, boze en gedetailleerde verhoren); De justitie (beklemtoning van zonde/ strafsleer); De ouders (panische reacties en woede). Bij incestueuze handelingen betreft het de eerste twee instanties. Deze conclusie betreft niet die gevallen van verkrachting, mishandeling, geweld, dwang en mutilatie. Maar dat heeft ook niets meer met gezonde seksualiteit te maken. Bovendien geldt dat niet alleen voor kinderen maar ook voor volwassenen.
