Danish boys selling sex on Internet
Danish researchers have found young teenage boys are accepting money for sexual favors at an alarmingly high rate. A survey of ninth-graders in the county of Vejle in Jutland showed 1.5 percent had sold their bodies for money, the Copenhagen Post said Thursday.
Most of the boys were experimenting with sex, who typically found their customers over the Internet. "We have a hidden problem, which is much bigger than we thought," said Georg Gouliaev, chief doctor at Vejle's children's psychiatric administration.
Per Straarup Sondergaard, the study's author, said while some boys were in it for the money, a large part of the group was gay youths who did not have anywhere else to turn to to experiment sexually.
