With "All the Ugly and Wonderful Things," author Bryn Greenwood has handed readers a strange - but strangely grabbing - tale. "Strange," because its theme centers on the mutual love - and sexual dalliances - of a man in his 20s and a 13-year-old girl. Greenwood sets her story in a grubby stretch of her native Kansas. And that setting is far from the only common denominator between the author and her central character, a girl known as Wavy.
