Boy, 14, doesn't feel like a victim

He's not old enough to buy a beer, join the military, vote or drive a car. He's barely old enough to get into a PG-13-rated movie. At 14, he's most concerned about seeing the birth of his child and rebutting any mention that he is a victim of a crime. The woman who police said is carrying his child, Angela Nicole Rudy, 23, of Lewisberry Road in Fairview Twp., is due to deliver this month, court records state. She's been charged with one count of statutory sexual assault against the boy and pleaded not guilty last week in Perry County Court. If she's found guilty, she could be sentenced to up to a year in jail. "I made a choice. I had sex," the boy said. "I decided to do it. It's not like I was raped or anything." [...]

But the boy's mother believes her son is the victim of a crime. She contacted Newberry Twp. police, who later turned the case over to state police at Newport.
