A man who was jailed Monday for possessing child pornography maintains the law against it is wrong and constitutes government censorship. Gordon Thomas Hickey Jr., 56, of Fredericton was sentenced to six months in jail by provincial court Judge Graydon Nicholas. [...]

The judge referred to Hickey's pre-sentence report, which noted he told a probation officer that he believes Canada's laws against child pornography are wrong "and that this is a form of government censorship." Hickey told the probation officer that child porn is a victimless crime and that "he stands by the adage of 'no harm, no foul."
